A
few things to consider as we embark upon this journey: This
is a phone call. This format presents each of us the opportunity
of sharing ourselves with others and creating community
in a whole new way. I encourage you to risk being heard
and allowing the group to experience you.
On the call there will be between 15-25 people present.
This is exciting. However it requires that we establish
and follow a discussion protocol to insure clear, orderly
communication. Please be mindful of the following: |
|
|
Please Be On
Time - Our calls will start promptly at 8:00pm. When joining
the call each person is announced by a beep. Being on time
assures that the information and flow of the call isn't
interrupted by caller-joining beeps. |
|
|
Please silence
any background noise before joining the call. Children,
tvs, radios, ringing phones, and other ambient sounds can
be very distracting and hence disruptive to others. |
|
|
Do only the call.
Attending this workshop from your home is convenient but
it also has its challenges. While on the workshop call it
may be tempting to multitask. I ask that you commit to making
the workshop your only focus while on the call. Split focus
"reads" in unspoken ways and supporting yourself
by being fully present also gives the gift of support to
others. |
|
|
When entering
the conference call, please be aware that there maybe a
conversation already in progress. Simply listen until there
is a break and then introduce yourself, "Hi this is
__________." |
|
|
· Please
set an "inner" intention to be a "safe"
place for others. Consciously take a moment and set the
intention of coming to the call with an open loving heart
that is available to your highest good and in support of
the highest good for others. |
|
|
When sharing,
please start with your name. For teleconferencing to be
a viable support medium for group transformation much care
must be given to creating a sense of being with one another
on the call; towards this end, being open and honest will
be invaluable to you and facilitative to others; each time
you share, please state your name first. This will help
establish familiarity. |
|
|
When sharing
please use ownership language rather than speaking in the
third person. Example: (ownership) When I am uncertain or
scared I tend to go blank inside. vs. (3rd< person) When
someone is uncertain or scared they tend to go blank inside. |
|
|
Please refrain
from offering advice to other participants. |
|
|
Be open, resist
judgment. (Judgment is a pattern that often thinly covers
a lack of self-acceptance.) Expect freedom, healing and
other miracles. |
|
|
Commit to confidentiality.
What happens inside the calls stays in the call.
Together, as we go along, we shall discover (and discuss)
the benefits of this new technology as well as its challenges.
It is my hope that the former far out shines the latter
because success with this format could truly facilitate
making the workshop experience more affordable and far reaching
in its aim to be of service to women everywhere.
I can't encourage you enough to set this time aside for
YOU. Let the family, job and pressing demands wait
for 90 minutes a week while you gift yourself with being
with yourself. Greater internal freedom is waiting. YOU
ARE A TOTALLY FABULOUS WOMAN. |
